OPMI Pico Microscope
Within a week, we perform from several to over a dozen root canal treatments at the Luxdentica Dental Center, and we know how important precision and ergonomics are in endodontics. Thanks to the use of a microscope, it is possible to work under magnification, but also to evenly illuminate the operating field, which significantly improves the treatment.
At Luxdentica, we have at our disposal top-class CARL ZEISS OPMI PICO microscopes.
This compact microscope is ideal for endodontic treatment. It has been designed to combine extraordinary magnification precision with functionality and intuitive, very easy manual operation. The device has no exposed cables or external components that could hinder the clinician's work. All functional instruments, such as the video control console, video camera, cables, light sources, and fiber optics, have been fully integrated with each other.
Proper ergonomics of work organization in a dental practice is half the battle. The other half consists of the dentist's competence and medical knowledge. That is why at Luxdentica we focus on proven and best-in-class solutions. The CARL ZEISS OPMI PICO microscope allows the dentist to work in a comfortable position, helping the doctor avoid neck and back strain. The five-step magnification adjustment provides a bright image – from an overview of the treatment field to the smallest details. Regardless of the observation area, the dentist can remain in an upright seated position at all times.

Easy positioning of the OPMI PICO microscope in the desired position – comfortable for both the doctor and the patient – was achieved thanks to the special design of the handles. Safe, intuitive, ergonomic hand adjustment ensures that the dentist can focus solely on their work, without unnecessarily searching for a comfortable viewing position.

Endodontic microscopes are used in conventional endodontics and during periapical or periodontal surgery. In root canal treatment, the most important aspect is the appropriate chemical and mechanical preparation of the root system and then its tight filling. Only a microscope provides the ability to control almost all stages of treatment.
The ability to transfer a faithful image of the surgical field to a computer monitor also greatly improves cooperation between the dentist and the patient. The images presented during the procedure – the view from the camera – make it easier for the patient to understand the purpose of the endodontic procedures being performed.
