Tooth grinding mill
Smart Dentin Grinder is a special dental grinder that allows turning the patient's extracted teeth into a high-quality autologous biomaterial, which is used, for example, to rebuild bone during the dental implant placement process. The material is highly plastic, durable, and one hundred percent biocompatible.
How does it work?
A special preparation is created from the Patient's own ground teeth, which is then used for bone reconstruction, including during implant procedures. The procedure is simple and most often more effective than using artificial bone augmentation materials. The use of natural material obtained from the Patient often shortens the treatment time, eliminates biomaterial rejection, and does not cause complications or allergies.
Measurements have shown that dentin is highly similar to bone. Therefore, a preparation made from extracted teeth, placed in the recipient site, integrates well with the Patient's bone, forming high-quality autogenous bone. The hard structure of dentin makes the resorption process very slow, so the volume and height of the ridge are preserved for many years.
Thanks to the use of the SMART DENTIN GRINDER tooth grinder, we achieve many tangible benefits in the implant treatment process. These are:
Fast bone healing - significantly reduced treatment time;
High quality of autogenous bone;
Completely eliminated effect of "rejection" of the biomaterial by the Patient;
Excluded possibility of disease transmission or causing inflammation;
The volume of the ridge and its height are preserved for many years;
Achieving excellent aesthetic results;
Possibility of lowering treatment costs.
At the Luxdentica Dental Center in Krakow, we successfully reuse the extracted teeth of Patients. Thanks to the use of the SDG device, extracted teeth are no longer disposed of as waste, and the material obtained in this way can be immediately used in the implant process or stored until it needs to be used again.
Autologous material
From the Greek "autos", produced by the body itself, a material not brought from the outside that can be reused, for example, in the process of bone augmentation. Autologous tissue is, for instance, skin transplanted from one part of the body to another.
Bone augmentation
Otherwise known as: guided bone regeneration, colloquially bone grafting or bone reconstruction. It is a procedure that involves filling individual bone defects in the alveolar ridge, allowing for an increase in the thickness and height of the alveolar ridge by creating bone tissue. It is most commonly performed to place dental implants. (source: Wikipedia)
Biocompatibility
A property of a substance or material that determines its proper functioning in a living organism. A material with high biocompatibility should be characterized by the following features: lack of toxicity; no effect on the body's immune system; non-induction of hemolysis. (source: Wikipedia)
