It all begins with a photo session. During this time, we closely observe how the patient smiles, speaks, and how their facial expressions work. The dialogue with the patient is very important during which we get to know their character and personality better. All of this is done to ensure that designing the new smile is as closely aligned with their personality traits as possible. Only this kind of modern, interdisciplinary, and holistic approach ensures that the new smile will not only be beautiful but also in harmony with the patient's individual character.

Additionally, we capture short video recordings that document all possible facial and lip projections: en face, profile, and at a 45-degree angle. The material is recorded at rest as well as dynamically during speech and smiling – to observe all facial features.
The next step is the analysis of all conditions (biological and functional) that exist among the teeth, mouth, smile, facial features, and expressions through which emotions are conveyed. Using a computer program that incorporates all the previously inputted photo and video data, we jointly design the smile on the screen. We can, for example, correct the position of teeth, lengthen them, close gaps between them, or remove discolorations. On the screen, the patient sees their teeth in different lengths, shades, and shapes. They can choose the option that suits them best. As a result, a 2D virtual model of the new smile is created. DSD enables the alignment of teeth with the shape and color of lips, facial expressions, personality traits, and physiognomy. With this technology, we can appropriately match veneers, lengthen teeth, or correct the smile line.
The developed template of the new smile is sent to the prosthetic laboratory. There, its three-dimensional counterpart is created, which is crucially important, as it can be physically placed onto existing teeth and tried on, similar to how we do it when buying a new dress or shoes. If the patient fully accepts the designed solution, we proceed with comprehensive treatment, following the previously established action plan and proposed cost estimate.
