X-Guide dynamic surgical navigation
Dynamic 3D navigation for the most accurate implant surgery at Luxdentica
What is X-Guide dynamic 3D navigation?
X-Guide is real-time dental surgery. It is a breakthrough technology that allows surgical procedures to be performed within the most precise treatment protocol. Implantation, sinus lift, nerve lateralization, or bone corticotomy can be performed minimally invasively, and above all, with excellent precision. The surgeon does not need to expose (cut) the gum to gain access to the bone, as the monitor screen displays a highly accurate image of the drill's position relative to the bone tissue. Dynamic X-Guide navigation is like the road navigation used in mobile phones, which guides you to your destination in real time - compared to the paper topographic maps used in the past.
Patient benefits compared to a surgical guide
Scanning, planning, and surgery can take place on the same day
Plans can be changed during surgery when required by the clinical situation.
Accuracy can be verified at all times.
Other clinical indications for the use of the dynamic system
Limited mouth opening.
Tight interdental spaces that prevent the use of a guiding sleeve in CAD/CAM guides.
Distal implants (e.g., second molars) that are excluded from static CAD/CAM guides due to increased height and the inability to take impressions because of an excessive gag reflex.
How does it work?
The surgeon first plans the ideal implant location based on a CT scan of the patient's bone using special software. We always perform a CT scan before the planned implantation to select the appropriate type and size of the implant and to plan its position precisely. Remember that at Luxdentica, the guiding principle of your treatment is always your safety and an excellent final outcome, which is why every procedure is planned with extreme accuracy.
The X-Guide device provides the doctor with a three-dimensional image of the patient's bone, allowing them to place the implant precisely in the bone or perform other surgical procedures. The doctor sees the movement of the drill, its depth, and deviation from the vertical axis "live" on the screen. At any moment, they can modify all parameters, responding on-the-fly to, for example, unforeseen aspects of the procedure. This groundbreaking device is technologically similar to neurosurgical procedures, which, as we know, must be performed with the highest possible precision.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is X-Guide and why is it used with implants?
X-Guide is a system that allows the doctor to navigate during implant placement based on previously planned treatment. It helps to translate the implantation plan into the actual position of the implant during the procedure.
Does X-Guide allow for more precise implant placement?
Implant navigation allows the doctor to continuously monitor the position of the instruments during the procedure relative to the planned implant position. This can increase the precision of the planned procedure.
What does implantation using X-Guide look like?
Before the procedure, diagnostics and computer planning of the implant positions are performed. During the procedure, the X-Guide system helps the clinician control the position of the drill and implant in accordance with the prepared plan.
Does X-Guide mean a shorter and less invasive procedure?
In properly planned cases, navigation can help in precisely performing the procedure and limiting the extent of tissue intervention. However, the final course of the treatment depends on the patient's individual conditions.
Can every implant be placed using X-Guide?
The applicability of navigation depends on the type of planned treatment and anatomical conditions. During the consultation, the doctor assesses whether such a solution is appropriate for the given case.

Invisalign
For many people who, for various reasons, decided against a traditional brace, Invisalign is a bullseye. This innovative orthodontic treatment method has many advantages. The transparent, custom-made, discreet aligners are invisible in the mouth. They can also be removed, which provides comfort during meetings, meals, or brushing teeth.
